Boombah Sports Complex
When the Central Florida Sports Commission and Seminole County Convention and Visitor's Bureau determined that a 100-acre site owned by Seminole County could be ideal for a sports complex, they reached out to Sports & Properties, Inc. for an assessment and plan. In Phase I of its work, SPI did benchmarking and analysis to determine the optimum sports, facilities, and configuration for the site. In Phase II, SPI developed event plans, economic impact projections, and operating pro formas. The result was a top-tier 15-field ballfield complex, primarily using artificial turf, that is capable of hosting a wide variety of sports events. The Boombah Sports Complex opened in May of 2016 and has hosted significant tournaments and events virtually every weekend since. It is considered by sports authorities in Florida to be one of the most successful of such complexes ever built.
